Stunning Senior Photos at Cascade Valley Metro Park and Roguish Farm in Ohio

Elliott’s senior photo session was an unforgettable experience, taking place at two stunning locations that truly showcase our area’s natural beauty. We began at Cascade Valley Metro Park , part of the Summit Metro Parks system, located in Akron, Ohio. Known for its breathtaking landscapes, this park offered blooming wildflowers, lush greenery, and diverse backdrops—perfect for capturing a variety of senior portraits. From classic posed shots to spontaneous, candid moments, we captured it all in this stunning nature setting. If you’re imagining your senior photo shoot surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors, this is the place for you.
The golden hour magic came alive as the sun began to set, creating that ethereal glow we photographers dream of. The photos we captured in both the field and the river during this time are some of my favorite images from Elliott’s session. For those like me who love golden hour senior photos, the last 30 minutes of your session will always deliver something special!
A week or so later, we met again for Elliott’s second location, this time at Roguish Farm in Chesterland, Ohio. The farm’s sunflower field was in full bloom, and it was a dream to shoot there. The vibrant, golden sunflowers created a perfect backdrop for Elliott’s senior photos, and she glowed once again under the warmth of the golden hour. The images we created there are nothing short of breathtaking.
On the way back, we made a spontaneous, spur-of-the-moment stop at the Holden Arboretum. With the sun setting quickly and only a few minutes to spare, we managed to capture a handful of images in one of the gardens. Those final four photos at the end of the blog are a sweet reminder that the most unexpected moments often lead to something pretty special.
Elliott, a proud graduate of Tallmadge High School in May 2025, plans to study architecture in college. As the youngest and final senior in her family that I had the honor of photographing, this session was especially meaningful. Elliott, thank you for being such a kind and beautiful soul. It was an absolute joy shooting with you, and your inner and outer beauty shines through in every single image. I’m so excited to see all that the future holds for you—keep shining brightly, sweet girl!
