Cherry Blossom Senior Photo Session in Akron, Ohio | Kenzie | Norton High School Class of 2025

Most high school seniors schedule their senior portraits before senior year even begins, but Kenzie’s busy schedule simply didn’t allow for an early session—and waiting turned out to be the perfect decision. As a senior photographer in Northeast Ohio, I love helping high school seniors plan photo sessions that feel intentional, personal, and meaningful, and Kenzie’s senior session was exactly that.

When we talked through senior photo session location ideas, Kenzie knew she wanted flowers to be part of her senior portraits. While it was too early for flower fields, it was the perfect time for cherry blossoms in downtown Akron, Ohio. The cherry blossom trees along the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail bloom for only a short time each spring, making them one of the most beautiful spring photo locations in the Akron area for senior pictures.

The soft pink and white blossoms created a timeless, romantic backdrop—perfect for high school senior girls who love being wrapped in the dreamy, magical beauty of flowers. Under the flowering canopy, we captured joyful, light-filled senior photos that truly reflect this exciting milestone season of Kenzie’s life. Timing her session with peak bloom and the final months of her senior year made this senior photo session especially meaningful. It’s proof that thoughtful planning, flexibility, and the right location can result in senior portraits families will cherish forever.

One of the things that made this senior photo location even better was the variety it offered. In addition to the cherry blossoms, we explored several nearby spots that provided fun, unique photo opportunities. This allowed us to create a diverse senior portrait gallery that felt natural, fresh, and true to Kenzie’s personality—something every high school senior deserves in their portraits.

Kenzie is a 2025 graduate of Norton High School and has been involved in school in many ways. When she’s not busy with school or work, she enjoys spending time with her friends. After graduation, Kenzie plans to attend Kent State University, where she will study to become a teacher.
