Last summer, I had the pleasure of photographing Carina's senior session at Cascade Valley Metro Park in Akron, Ohio, and it was everything she had envisioned. She dreamed of a location with golden-hour light, wildflowers, a river, and beautiful natural scenery, and Cascade Valley delivered all of it perfectly.
The park was in full bloom, with gorgeous summer wildflowers creating the dreamiest backdrop for her senior portraits. As the afternoon sun began to soften into golden hour, Carina absolutely glowed. The warm summer light, vibrant greenery, and colorful blooms made every moment feel magical.
One of my favorite parts of any senior session is helping my seniors choose outfits that complement their location, and Carina did an incredible job. Her flowing light blue dress paired beautifully with the yellow and green tones of the wildflower fields, creating a timeless and elegant look. This Copley High School senior brought three outfits, which is always my recommendation for senior sessions. From casual jeans and a fun, flirty short dress to an elegant formal gown, each look showcased a different side of her personality and complemented the beautiful surroundings perfectly.
Beyond the gorgeous scenery and stunning portraits, what made this evening even more special was having Carina's parents along for the experience. I love when parents join us during senior sessions. Watching them cheer on their senior and seeing the pride on their faces is such a meaningful part of the process. Senior year is an exciting season filled with big changes, and these sessions often become a celebration of everything their child has accomplished before beginning a new chapter.
Carina's session was filled with laughter, beautiful light, and unforgettable memories. It was the perfect summer evening at Cascade Valley Metro Park, and I am so honored to have captured this special milestone for her and her family.
